Kura Staffing

The poari matua of Paparoa Street School ensures that kura staffing meets ākonga needs and is managed in a way that is financially responsible. The poari matua employs appropriately trained and qualified teaching and non-teaching kaimahi, and meets the requirements of relevant legislation and employment agreements.

Kaimahi funding

To ensure we meet financial and operational requirements, the poari matua allocates funding for kaimahi according to legislative and collective agreement requirements. See Kaimahi Funding.

Employment checks

We aim to create a safe kura environment through our appointment and employment processes. Paparoa Street School ensures that kaimahi are appropriately trained and qualified. We complete safety checking and police vetting as required.
